Abstract:Is Jeremy Bentham among the legal theorists who propose to see the law as normative order? Did Bentham have a theory of law as legal order? The paper argues for an affirmative answer by rehearsing, in turn, Bentham’s ideas about
the components, the existence, the identity, the structure and the content of positive
legal systems.
