El objeto principal de este artículo es exponer a la comunidad
científica de historiadores la problemática actual para la consulta de la
documentación histórica tanto del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores,
como del Ministerio de Defensa, en especial desde el año 2011 con
la llegada al poder del actual gobierno. Temas hasta estos momentos
abiertos y disponibles para la investigación se han ido cerrando progresivamente
en los archivos de estos Ministerios, pero también en otros
centros documentales. El origen se encuentra en un acuerdo «secreto»
del Consejo de Ministros de octubre de 2010 bajo mandato del presidente
Rodríguez Zapatero.

Abstract: The main purpose of this article is to expose to the community
of historians the situation and the problems involved in consulting historical
documents both of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry
of Defense, especially since 2011, when the new Spanish government
came to power. Until 2011, these documents were available for
historical research, but since then, they have been progressively enclosed
in the archives of the mentioned ministries, as well as in other locations.
The origin of this situation was a «secret» Agreement signed by
the Council of Ministers in October 2010, during Prime Minister Rodríguez
Zapatero’s term.
