La historiografía viene señalando desde hace tiempo el retorno de
antiguos afrancesados en el poder durante la segunda restauración del
absolutismo de Fernando VII, interpretándolo como muestra de una tendencia
tecnocrática de este momento histórico. Este artículo señala que
sólo se puede constatar el retorno de algunos antiguos josefinos y que de
ningún modo constituían un colectivo. La experiencia de la colaboración
con José I favoreció sólo nuevas amistades, a menudo relacionadas con
vínculos anteriores, y, por consiguiente, el mundo de los antiguos josefinos
era muy fragmentado. Durante la Década Ominosa, algunos de estos
hombres recuperaron una plaza con el entorno del rey, pero estaban
insertos en redes que no eran josefinas, sino mucho más amplias, en las
que el político no constituía el elemento más importante.

Abstract: The return of the afrancesados is one of the caracteristics of the
second restoration of the absolutism’s historiografy in Spain. It is presented
like a sign of a tecnocratic influence of the end of Ferdinand
VII’s reign. This paper shows that there is only the return of some old
partisans of Joseph who don’t constitute a collective group. The world
of the josefinos is a fragmented world. Ones of this josefinos come
back in the sphere of the government during the Década Ominosa, but
they belong to wide networks in witch the political doesnt constitute
the most important element.
