La crisis del sida ha dado lugar a la reaparición de la noción psicoanalítica
de «pulsión de muerte» aplicada en particular a la homosexualidad.
Este antiguo tema homófobo ha sido retomado por teóricos
gais que quieren asignar las vidas gais al instante presente y a la ausencia
de futuro. Mostraremos aquí que, por el contrario, toda una tradición,
en la cual se puede incluir a Michel Foucault, ha querido inscribir
la subjetividad gay en una relación fundamental con el pasado, con
la construcción de una memoria política y también con un futuro que
siempre hay que reinventar.

Abstract: AIDS crisis was an opportunity for a resurgence of the psychoanalytic
notion of «death drive» especially applied to homosexuality.
This old homophobic theme was echoed by gay intellectuals who wanted
to assign gay life to the present time and to the absence of future.
In contrast, we will see here that there is a whole tradition, where you
can register Michel Foucault. This tradition not only did want to include
gay subjectivity in a fundamental relationship to the past but also
to the building of a political memory, which is equally fundamental in
a future that always needs to be reinvented.
