Tras la muerte del dictador Francisco Franco las elites pactaron
un olvido de las violaciones de derechos humanos de la dictadura.
También planificaron la ignorancia de millones de jóvenes con respecto
a su pasado reciente. La aparición colectiva de los nietos de las
víctimas de desapariciones forzadas del franquismo rompió esa ley de
hierro de la oligarquía franquista. Desde el año 2000 se han identificado
miles de víctimas de la dictadura, se ha judicializado una investigación,
por el principio de Justicia Universal, en Argentina, y se ha
abierto un interesante debate acerca de las víctimas de la dictadura y
de la patológica relación de la sociedad española con ese pasado.

Abstract: After the death of dictator Francisco Franco, Spanish elites agreed
oblivion of the human rights crimes perpetrated during the dictatorship.
They also designed the lack of knowledge of millions of youth about the
recent past of their country. The collective emergence of the grandchildren
of the victims of the disappearances enforced by the Franco regime
broke that iron law imposed by the dictatorship oligarchy. Since 2000
thousands of victims of the dictatorship have been identified, investigation
of the crimes has been judicialized and are being prosecuted in Argentina
according to the principle of “universal justice”, and the long-postponed
debate about the victims of the dictatorship and the pathological relationship
of Spanish society with its recent past has been opened.
