El análisis de las imágenes fotográficas ha sido siempre una tarea
compleja, tanto por las características particulares del documento fotográfico
como por las diversas interpretaciones en torno a sus significados
que se han ido elaborando desde diversos ámbitos de las humanidades
y de las ciencias sociales lo que ha dado lugar a aproximaciones
divergentes no siempre relacionadas con la historiografía. A través de
cinco libros recientes se revisan diversos postulados epistemológicos
procedentes de varias disciplinas que trabajan en la interpretación del
documento fotográfico.

Abstract: The analysis of photographic images has always been a complex
task, thus the particular characteristics of the photographic document
as the various interpretations about the meanings that have been drawn
from various areas of the Humanities and Social Sciences which has
led to divergent approaches do not always related to historiography.
Through five different epistemological postulates recent books from
various disciplines working on the interpretation of the photographic
document are reviewed.
