Este ensayo bibliográfico pasa revista a la historiografía del antifascismo
internacional desde la publicación de El pasado de una ilusión, de
François Furet, en 1995. Señala cómo hacia 1996 apareció un enfoque
nuevo, distinto del revisionismo de Furet pero también del paradigma antifascista
dominante en décadas anteriores, que entendía el antifascismo
como una cultura plural y compleja, extendida en la mayor parte del
mundo durante el periodo de entreguerras y que pervive hasta nuestros
días. El artículo pone de relieve las aportaciones de esta historiografía y
concluye apuntando los desafíos a los que se enfrenta: extender y profundizar
la investigación, temática, geográfica y cronológicamente.

Abstract: This review discusses the historiography of international antifascism
since the publication in 1995 of François Furet’s The Passing of
an Illusion. It points out that as early as 1996 appeared a new scholarly
approach to the topic, different from Furet’s revisionism but also from
the antifascist paradigm that had prevailed in earlier decades, which
conceived antifascism as a plural and complex culture that touched
most of the world in the interwar period and survives to this day. The
review highlights what it considers the most valuable contributions of
this new historiography and concludes by stressing two challenges for
future work on this area: to broaden and deepen research, both thematically,
geographically and chronologically.
