Los conocimientos científicos han cobrado un papel bastante relevante a la hora de decidir los hechos en un proceso judicial, pero la existencia de “buena ciencia” y “mala ciencia” nos insta, primero a intentar evitar todos los errores que puede provocar una imagen romántica de la empresa científica; y, segundo, el optar por una imagen más realista de ésta, pone al descubierto una serie de problemas y retos que los sistemas jurídicos deben enfrentar
si se quiere hacer un buen uso de los conocimientos científicos en el juicio correspondiente.


Abstract:The scientific knowledge plays a relevant role as the moment comes where you have to decide facts on a judicial process, but the existence of a “good science” and “junk science“, first to try to avoid all the mistakes that provokes a romantic image of the scientific industry; and second to choose a realistic image, which
sets a serious of problems and challenges that judicial systems must face if it wants to use the scientific knowledge in trial.
