El presente artículo describe el papel y la influencia
de las Fuerzas Armadas en la transición española
a la democracia. Partiendo de la creencia
generalizada de que la institución castrense desempeñaría
un protagonismo activo ante los cambios
y que el poder acumulado durante el régimen
franquista le otorgaría un capital político de
suma importancia, se pasa a relatar cómo se fue
instaurando la supremacía civil y apartándose de
la vida pública tanto a los militares como a su discurso.
Sin embargo, esto no sucedió de forma
automática y la tensión fue un elemento constante
a lo largo del proceso. La especial relación del
monarca español con la cúpula militar fue un
elemento destacado en la aceptación por parte de
las Fuerzas Armadas de las reglas, instituciones y
espíritu del juego democrático.

Abstract: This article describes the role and the influence
of Armed Forces in the Spanish transition to
democracy. Starting from the generalized belief
that the military institution have had an important
relevance before the changes and that the
power accumulated during the Franquist regime
would have grant it an extremely important political
capital, this essay continues explaining how
the civil supremacy has been founded separating
public life from the military one (as it is shown iwc aquatimer replica

automatically and the tension was a constant element
throughout the process. The special relation
of the Spanish monarch with the military
leadership was an outstanding element in the
acceptance of rules, institutions and frame of the

Résumé: Cet article décrive le rôl et l’influence des Forces
Armeés dans la transition espagnole á la démocratie.
D’abord on croit en l’idée generalicée que
l’armée, elle serais protagoniste active des changes,
et que la puissance acumulée pendant le
régimen franquiste lui donnerai un capital politique
très important, on passent à rélater comme
est-ce que on a instaurent la suprématie civil et
en s’ecartant de la vie publique tante aux militaires
comment à leurs discurse. Mais, tout celle-ci
n’a pas succédé automatiquement et la tension
fut un élément constant pendant le procés. L’especial
relation du monarque espagnol avec la
coupole militaire fut un élément remarquable
dans l’aceptacion par les Forces Armées de les
régles, institutions et esprit du joeu démocratie.
