el presente artículo analiza las elecciones a concejales por el tercio
de representación familiar que se celebraron en Zaragoza entre 1948
y 1973, contextualizándolas en el marco de las dictaduras europeas de
la Guerra Fría. Para ello, a lo largo de las siguientes páginas, se estudian
los comicios que tuvieron lugar en la capital aragonesa a través de dos
perspectivas. Desde arriba, atendiendo a su funcionalidad para los aparatos
del Estado y, desde abajo, centrándose en la respuesta de la población
frente a los mismos y en su efectividad como instrumento de movilización
política y obtención de apoyo popular.

Abstract: this article analyzes the local elections for town councilmen
representing
families which were hold in Zaragoza between 1948 and
1973 contextualizing them within the framework of the European dictatorships
during the Cold War. In order to achieve it, the mentioned
elections are studied from two different perspectives along the following
pages. On the one hand, they are studied according to their functionality
to the state apparatus. On the other hand, we examine them focusing our attention on the population’s response against them as
well as their effectiveness as a tool of political mobilization and their
capacity to obtain popular support.
