En este trabajo se estudia en qué medida las estudiantes universitarias contemplan para el futuro la posibilidad de
ralentizar sus carreras profesionales por razones de conciliación en mayor medida que los estudiantes varones. Para
ello se ha realizado una encuesta a estudiantes universitarios en la que se intenta captar cuáles son sus preferencias en
cuanto a estilos de vida laboral-familiar, sus aspiraciones profesionales y sus actitudes de género. A partir de aquí se
procede a estimar el porcentaje de estudiantes encuestadas que tienen un grado de aspiración profesional alto (que
resulta ser significativamente inferior al correspondiente a los estudiantes varones), y se analizan algunos factores
personales y culturales que pueden estar relacionados con el hecho de ser una estudiante con esa característica.
Abstract: This paper studies to what extent the female university students, compared with the male students, contemplate for
the future the possibility of slowing down their professional careers for reasons related to conciliation. A survey to
university students has been carried out trying to get their lifestyles preferences, their professional aspirations and
their gender attitudes. Then it is estimated the percentage of female students who have a high degree of professional
aspiration (that it is significantly inferior to that corresponding to the male students), and some personal and
cultural factors are analyzed that can be related to the fact of being a female student with this characteristic.
