Partiendo del caso del movimiento feminista, en este artículo
se analiza en qué medida la nueva izquierda ha contribuido al cambio
político y cultural en la España reciente. La izquierda radical se movió
entre la continuidad (añejas referencias doctrinarias) y la ruptura
(su énfasis en nuevos sujetos transformadores y modos de vida). Por lo
que respecta a las relaciones de género, desde el último tercio del siglo
xx se ha producido una auténtica revolución cultural. Ahora bien,
esta última no fue impulsada únicamente por el citado sector político.
Y es que, en algunos aspectos, la nueva izquierda volvió a valerse de
dialécticas
binarias (burgueses contra proletarios, hombres contra mujeres)
para comprender una sociedad crecientemente compleja.

Abstract: This paper examines to what extent the New Left has contributed
to the political and cultural change in Spain in the last decades.
Therefore, I will analyze the feminist theory during the Spanish transition
to democracy. The radical left balanced between continuity (its
old doctrinal references) and rupture (its emphasis on new subjects
and ways of life). Regarding gender relations, in the last third of the twentieth century there was a cultural revolution. However, this was
not only driven by the aforementioned political sector. In some aspects
the New Left promoted a return to binary divisions of an increasingly
complex society (bourgeois versus proletarian, men versus women).
