Abstract: Once missed the values of the dictatorship and dismantled its
symbolic universe, what has emerged instead, developed by the democratic
State, is the establishment of an ideology of reconciliation with
significant impacts on the public image of the past. The present study
trace this social process, symbolic expressions and major liturgies that
the State has promoted to expand his new story, and the effects it has
had in relation to the democratic heritage and the construction of an
equating memorial policy sustained by the victim. A memory identified
with the Administration, which has become the good memory.
