El artículo examina la experiencia de la maoísta ORT durante
la Transición española, tomándola como caso de estudio para poder
comprender mejor las dinámicas que han caracterizado la izquierda comunista
en aquella fase histórica. Se toma en consideración no sólo su
política, sino también su actuación en el movimiento obrero. El texto
se propone así explorar los límites y las razones de unas alternativas
que salieron vencidas del proceso de cambio democrático, como la
búsqueda a ultranza de la ruptura, la lucha contra el pacto social o la
reivindicación de un diferente modelo constitucional.

Abstract: The article analyzes the experience of the maoist ORT during the
Spanish Transition, using it as a case study to achieve a better understanding
of the dynamics that characterized the communist left in that
historical phase. It takes into account not only the ORT’s politics, but
also its activity in the worker movement. In this way, the text aims to
explore arguments and limits of some alternatives defeated during the
process of democratic change, such as the firm search for the democratic rupture, the struggle against the social pact and the claim for a
different constitutional model
