Edited by John Mollo. This unique collection of British and European military uniforms dates from the early 1900s. it is the work of A. E. Haswell Miller, a Scottish artist and army officer with a fascination for military costume. He travelled widely in Europe before the outbreak of the First World War and faithfully recorded the rich variety and ostentation of the uniforms seen at that time. This passion was indulged during his own military service and he continued to paint and sketch whenever the opportunity arose.
