An Encyclopedia contains more than 750 original entries contributed by a team of international scholars. The Encyclopedia covers the Hispanic kingdoms from c. 400 to c. 1500 and is interdisciplinary in scope with an emphasis on literature, language, history, arts, folklore, religion and science. Muslim and Jewish issues are also discussed. The Encyclopedia will be a ready reference for all scholars, students and general readers researching Medieval Iberia. Entries are arranged alphabetically and each entry is followed by a bibliography.
